Battle SquadronSTORY / GAMEPLAY
Earth Defense Fleet and the Barrax Empire are in conflict for many years. The human race is under serious threat and your mission (as a pilot) is to rescue two important Earth Defense Fleet Commanders that have been captured by the Barrax Empire and held captives on an alien planet called Terrainia which is heavily guarded by multiple squadrons of alien ships. You can choose either to play alone (1-player mode) or to begin your quest along with a friend (2-players mode). You have a good variety of weapons at your disposal and you can upgrade them by shooting ground artillery units that will grant you with power-ups such as the Red Magnetic Torps, the Green Emerald Laser, the two-way firing Blue Anti-Matter Particle Beam, and more. You can also increase your game-score points by collecting several, scattered jewel caches worth 1000 points each! Just shoot everything in your way until you finally rescue both the Human Commanders!

GRAPHICS / SOUND
The graphics on the Megadrive / Genesis version are identical to the original Amiga OCS. The environments are brightly colored, maintaining all of the original version's details. Some tenths of enemy sprites move around the screen without a single hardware slow-down.
The game's sound was taken directly from the Amiga version, but though the Sega Megadrive can technically handle more PCM channels than the Amiga's Paula sound chip, the sound FX and the in-game music score are slightly inferior to the original.
